The success of our community outreach efforts and financial education workshops resulted in the creation of the SCE Federal Credit Union Foundation, a 501c (3) corporation. Through the Foundation we now have the ability to raise significant amounts of money, beyond our scope of membership, to broaden our educational efforts and assistance to community organizations. The Foundation intends to grow the financial education effort in our region so that underserved segments of our communities will show measurable economic growth.

The Foundation pursues grant projects aimed at the promotion of financial education. Along with public philanthropic support, we hold fundraising events and promote private giving among our members, employees and Board of Directors. Organizations or individuals interested in partnering with us on the financial education initiative are encouraged to contact the Foundation.

The Foundation’s Board of Directors meets six times a year to determine strategic process and direction. The SCE FCU Foundation partners with 1-2 nonprofit organizations within each of

SCE FCU’s branch communities, providing financial support, financial education, and volunteer assistance.
