Victor is a native Californian, born and raised in Whittier. While working for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fullerton, Victor earned BS degrees in Child & Adolescent Studies and Sociology from California State University, Fullerton. Victor is currently the Senior Vice President of Operation/Community Development for the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles. Previous to this assignment, Victor was the Executive Director for both the Weingart East Los Angeles YMCA and Southeast Rio Vista YMCA. Prior to working for the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles, Victor was the Executive Director for the YMCA of Greater Long Beach. Victor has been a National trainer for Boys & Girls Clubs of America, training adolescents in the country how to become leaders in their communities and about drug and alcohol prevention.
Some of Victor’s personal achievements include being named by the Los Angeles Dodgers as the Hero in the Community (2013), as well as being named the City of Fullerton Success Story of the year (2003). Victor has received Certificates of Appreciation for his work in the community by numerous elected officials. Victor was one of three YMCA of the USA professionals to be given the Andrew Young Award for celebrating diversity in the workplace (2006).
Victor is the Past Chairman of the White Memorial Medical Center Leadership Board, Governing Board Member of the East Los Angeles Doctors Hospital Board, President of the Huntington Park Kiwanis Club, Member of the USC Keck School of Medicine Community Council, and Commissioner of the City of Huntington Park Health and Education Commission.
