While the majority of times you’re able to conduct your transactions safely and securely at the ATM, it’s important to know ATM fraud still occurs on a regular basis. One technique fraudsters use to steal information is called skimming. They place a device over an ATM’s card reader, along with a small hidden camera to capture your PIN as you enter it on the keypad.
That’s the bad news. The good news is you have a PIN shield available in the palm of your hand – literally!
When you enter your PIN, cover your hand.
Simple yet powerful advice.
