Describe the work you do at the Credit Union.
I’m one of the Supervisors in the Member Care Center. I assist with the day-to-day activities within the department. Every day brings a new challenge as we help with a multitude of inquiries. This position allows me to interact with members as well as lead a team of Member Care Consultants. Being able to help members with issues, as well as assist my team members with questions is extremely satisfying. Leading a big team is very challenging at times, but very rewarding as well. I love to lead by example and I believe I set a great example for my team.
What was your first job?
My first job was working in the call center for Home Savings of America. They taught me the foundation of working in the financial industry as well as working in a call center environment.
How did you come to be an SCE Credit Union team member?
I’ve been in the financial industry for over 20 years and only in the call center setting. When working for Bank of America, I was continuously looking for another position while I was there. I saw an opening at SCE Credit Union and it was close to home, so I applied and got a job in what’s now known as the Member Care Center.
How do you spend your free time?
I like to spend my free time with my family. I have a beautiful wife that I adore. She does a wonderful job of taking care of our beautiful daughter. We all love the beach, so we frequent Shoreline Village in Long Beach often. We also like to take trips to Santa Barbara and San Diego when we’re not traveling farther distances. I LOVE watching football and all other sports.
