A Note from Dan - Summer 2017

Dear Members,

Helping members succeed is what we do at the Credit Union. In addition to providing fairly priced products and services to meet your financial needs, we believe education is a key to success. Yes, we have the nonprofit we founded – the Center for Financial Empowerment – working to educate high school youth in our local communities, but financial education doesn’t stop when high school ends. As adults, there is great benefit to additional learning.

To ensure our adult members have access to financial learning, we recently rolled out eLearning on our SCE FCU website. It features a variety of brief and interactive educational modules available to you at no cost. Modules are grouped according to where you are in life. “Getting Started” will help you in mastering the basics. “Financing Dreams” covers getting you to the next level. “Planning for Your Future” includes preparing for college expenses, investing, or retirement. “Protecting Yourself” guides you around life’s emergencies, to protect your identity and hard-earned funds. There’s also a budgeting tool, which is helpful at any stage.

As a kick-off to our new eLearning modules, we’re giving away cash! Every two weeks through the end of the year, you’ll have a chance to win $100 cash when you complete the eLearning module we’re featuring for that week. Visit scefcu.org/eLearning4Cash for contest rules and complete information.

We hope you’ll enjoy the modules and the chance to win!

Sincerely yours,

Dan Rader
