Annual Meeting & Nomination of Officials • Wednesday, April 19, 2017

The annual meeting will feature a report from the CEO, the Board Chair and the Supervisory Committee. We will also conduct an election for three (3) Board positions, each with a three (3) year term. Members who wish to be nominated to serve on the Board of Directors may do so by submitting a petition signed by at least one percent (1%) of the total Credit Union membership (approx. 525) to the Chair of the Nominating Committee, Ms. Sue Mitchell (c/o Kathleen Cardenas, SCE FCU). This petition must be received by 5:00pm on Friday, March 10, 2017. Nomination questions may be directed to 800.866.6474 x2254. The names of all nominees will be posted at the SCE FCU Corporate Office on Thursday, March 16, 2017. The election will not be conducted by ballot and there will be no nominations from the floor when the number of nominees equals the number of positions to be filled. Election results will be announced at the Annual Meeting on April 19, 2017.


Nancy Bond

Nancy is President and CEO of Nancy Bond Insurance Services in Monrovia, California. An insurance broker for more than 26 years, Nancy earned her Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation to serve her clients, nonprofits, and schools; many who don’t employ their own risk managers.

Prior to her work in the insurance business, Nancy was employed for eight years at Home Savings and Loan (Home Savings of America) as a teller, then in new accounts, and as the new account supervisor in management. She left banking to become a stay-at-home mom before going into business for herself.

Nancy has served on the Board of Directors for the Evangelical Lutheran Education Association, a National Association of Christian private schools and early childhood centers. She is the ELCA’s National Employee Benefits Administrator as well as a strong financial supporter of the organization.

Nancy has also served on the Board of Directors for the Monrovia Chamber of Commerce as Director, Vice President and President. In 2012 she was awarded the Monrovia Chamber’s Dick Lord Award for outstanding volunteer service in the community, and was awarded the Chamber’s Monroe Award, as Business Person of the Year for 2016.

Nancy studies what motivates people to action and is a nationally known speaker on sexual abuse prevention for youth serving organizations and nonprofits, fitness, personal growth, and professional ethics and boundaries.

Nancy makes her home in Monrovia, California and enjoys being outdoors, hiking and road cycling.


Victor Dominguez

Victor is a native Californian, born and raised in Whittier. While working for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fullerton, he earned a Bachelor of Science in both Child & Adolescent Studies and Sociology from California State University, Fullerton. Victor is currently the Executive Vice President & Chief Mission Advancement Officer for the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles, and formerly held the position of Senior Vice President of Operation/Community Development for the YMCA. Prior to that, Victor was the Executive Director for the YMCA of Greater Long Beach.

Victor has been a national trainer for Boys & Girls Clubs of America, training adolescents in the country how to become leaders in their communities and about drug and alcohol prevention. Some of his personal achievements include being named by the Los Angeles Dodgers as the Hero in the Community (2013), as well as being named the City of Fullerton Success Story of the year (2003). Victor has received certificates of appreciation for his work in the community by numerous elected officials. He was one of three YMCA of the USA professionals to be given the Andrew Young award for celebrating diversity in the workplace (2006).

Victor is a member of the White Memorial Medical Center Leadership Board, Chairman of the Governing Board of the East Los Angeles Doctors Hospital, Board Director of SCE Federal Credit Union, Advisory Task Force Member for Metro, Member of the USC Keck School of Medicine Community Council, and Commissioner of the City of Huntington Park Health and Education Commission.


Michael Maxwell

Michael has been a member of SCE FCU’s Supervisory Committee since 2014, and has served as Supervisory Committee Chairman for the past two years. He has overseen the transition of External Auditors, multiple NCUA examinations, and the hiring of the Director of Internal Audit.

Michael is currently a Downstream Sales Supervisor for McMaster-Carr Supply Company, overseeing a staff of 25 employees. He is responsible for analyzing and implementing new processes to improve efficiency. Michael also spent 5 years at Southern California Edison working in Project Management and was the Chief Operating Officer of an online startup.

Michael is currently an M.B.A. candidate at the University of California, Los Angeles. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Business Administration from the University of Southern California, and belonged to the Sigma Alpha Lambda and Phi Sigma Theta National Honor Societies. Michael earned a Project Management Certificate from the University of California, Irvine, an Engineer in Training Certificate from the Board of Professional Engineers, and a Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate from the Management and Strategy Institute.
