Membership in SCE Federal Credit Union is not an application requirement for this scholarship. SCE FCU membership is not a criterion for this award, and the applicant's membership status will not be considered in the selection process.

However, SCE FCU membership is required prior to scholarship funding. If an applicant is selected as a scholarship recipient and is not a member-owner of SCE FCU, he/she will need to open a membership account with SCE FCU to activate the scholarship award. Here's why...

We strongly believe that credit union membership can significantly contribute to smart management of your personal finances, and we want to help our scholarship recipients be successful in their finances as well as their education. We are confident that access to SCE FCU's competitive and convenient financial services will give them an advantage they won't get from other financial institutions.
